The First Annual RISE Foundation
Posted: January 22, 2014
RISE Baseball is proud to announce that 2014 will be the first year a student will become a recipient of the RISE Foundation. The RISE Foundation was developed from what started as a casual conversation between the RISE Baseballs coaching staff and turned into something inspiring. With todays increasing college tuition cost many families have to choose colleges they can afford opposed to a college they want to attend. Thus, RISE Baseball has developed a non-profit organization called the “RISE Foundation” to help students who show excellence in the classroom through their GPA, community volunteer, and work ethic. Student will be selected annually based on these three standards. Phil Wilson’s 2014 graduating class will be the first team with the opportunity to have a student selected for the RISE Foundation. Students must apply by May 2014 at http://risebaseball.com/risefoundation/ to become eligible.
This year we are expecting the grant to between $6,000-$10,000 to the selected graduate. “The RISE Foundation is something I have always dreamed about” said Chris Martin. Not only does the foundation provide RISE Baseball students with the possibility of financial support, but also it provides our students with realistic and obtainable goals.
