Player Evaluation
An intelligent player on both sides of the ball, Nick is an excellent middle infielder and pitcher. His instincts on the field are matched by his diligence off the field.
PITCHING: Nick has good command of three pitches, and will pound the strike zone. He maintains an efficient delivery, and works quickly when he takes the ball.
DEFENSE: With excellence range, and a solid arm, Roth will be a candidate to play either short or second at the next level. He attacks the ball well and displays some of the quickest hands in the region.
OFFENSE: Nick is a smart hitter and takes advantage of each at-bat. He does a good job keeping the bat level in the hitting zone. In addition to a solid approach, Roth bunts well, and is aggressive on the base paths.
