Zach has very good mechanics and is extremely explosive with his lower half. Zach locates his 4-seam and 2-seam fastball very well on each side of the plate. His change-up works well off his 2-seam fastball with great speed difference and great sink. Zach’s curveball is hard and sweeps away from right-handed hitters. Zach also has the ability to drop his arm slot down and become even more deceptive to right handed hitters throwing a fastball with sink and a good slider. His ability to throw all of his pitches for strikes from both arm angles gives him a big advantage over hitters.
