UPDATE:
PITCHING: Sam is a big frame RHP with a ¾ arm slot. Sam is very deceptive in his delivery and pounds the zone with all 3 of his pitches. His fastball has good movement and depth to it and can throw it on both sides of the plate. Sam’s changeup works well off of his sinking fastball and induces a lot of groundballs. He has a sweeping late break slider, which he commands well in the strike zone. Sam is continuing to work hard on using his lower half more efficiently throughout his delivery, which will allow him to get more velo on his hard sinking fastball.
DEFENSE: Sam is a very good defensive 1st baseman. Sam shows good range left and right at first and also has very good footwork and glove work around the bag.
